    Dr. Hirt is a 1982 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Initially she practiced both small and large animal medicine. After being in practice for 6 years she decided to focus her skills exclusively on small animals. She has been sole owner of Paw Patch Veterinary Services since 1993. Dr.Hirt is a member of the Toledo Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. . In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading and watching movies.

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Rosario is a 1995 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He also completed a residency program at OSU where he earned his PhD in Anatomic Pathology. He divides his time between practices in Findlay, Maumee and Clyde. His main interests are small animal surgery and orthopedics. He is member of the Toledo Veterinary Medical Association and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association. He spends his leisure time playing the guitar.

    Practice Manager

    Sharon graduated from Stautzenberger College in 1998 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been with us since that time. Sharon specializes in canine behavior and training, an interest sparked by a passion for northern breed dogs. She is also a certified canine sports massage provider. The favorite part of her job is educating staff and clients. Sharon is a member of the National Animal Health Emergency Respose Corps, Ohio Veterinary Emergency Responders and CARES K-9 Search and Rescue Team. In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends (both 2 and 4 legged). She and her husband share their home with 3 Alaskan Malamutes: Loki, Mika and Nattah.

    Courtney graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2007 with a degree in Veterinary Technology and joined our team that same year. She enjoys assisting with surgeries and one on one working with our patients. She shares her home with Manny, a doberman mix and 2 felines.Courtney is an avid Ohio State and Cleveland sports fan. In her spare time she enjoys playing sports, reading and spending time with family and friends.

    Judy has been with the Paw Patch since its opening in 1986. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, watching movies and caring for Cheri, her maltese.

    Val has been a receptionist at the Paw Patch since 2008. In addition to her work she is a full time nursing student at Terra Community College. She loves to educate our clients on flea and heartworm prevention. Her heart belongs to her family and our clients furry families. She has two daughters and two grandsons that are her pride and joy. Valerie shares her home with her kitty kitty Itzee.

    Emily joined our team in 2010. She has previous experience with both general practice and emergency animal care. She always enjoys a challenge and specializes in the handling of fractious felines. When not at work Emily enjoys spending time with her human family and her many fur-babies.

    Ashley started working for Dr.Hirt at her sanctuary in 2005 and now splits her time between there and the clinic. She has an interest in animal behavior and the human-animal bond which aids in her work and home life. In her spare time she enjoys , spending time with her furry companions, gardening and playing games.

    Kathy has been with us since 2008. She has always had an interest and love for the caring and well being of all animals, which reflects in her work with us. When not at work she enjoys cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Her extended family includes 3 dogs: Peanut (Bob Barker) a fox terrier mix, Buzz Lightyear (The Sausage) a manchester terrier mix, Binkie (The Bear) a pomeranian, and 2 cats: Boogie (The Once Eye Bandit) and Kitsene (Dancy Pants).

    Tina has worked with us on and off since 1996. She is also a nurses aid and works at Elmwood. She shares her home with 2 dogs, 1 cat and a bird. She spends her spare time with her 3 sons.
